Big goals.
Clear next steps.

A relationship starts with understanding who you are and where you want to go.

  1. 01

    Tell your story.

Your sport, your goals, your interests. Start with the person behind the performance.

  2. 02

    Explore the fit.

Discuss representation and the opportunities that could align with your next chapter.

  3. 03

    Move with clarity.

Understand the proposed terms and responsibilities before deciding how to move forward.

A strong future
starts with
good questions.

New to NIL? Start here. You deserve to understand the conversation before making a commitment.

What does NIL mean?+

NIL stands for name, image, and likeness. NIL opportunities can include brand promotions, appearances, and other partnerships built around an athlete’s identity.

Is this just for professional athletes?+

No. Contract Year Sports specializes in NIL representation for high school athletes, while offering full-service representation for an athlete’s next contract.

Can a parent or guardian be involved?+

Absolutely. Families are part of the conversation. For a high school athlete, start with a parent or guardian so everyone can discuss goals and questions together.

What should we prepare for an introduction?+

Your sport, graduation year, location, goals, and any existing opportunity you want to discuss. A public athlete profile can help tell your story. Keep sensitive personal information out of the introduction.

Does every opportunity fit every athlete?+

No. Suitability and eligibility need an individual review. Discuss the opportunity and the requirements that apply to your situation before entering an agreement.

It’s your
contract year.
Make it count.

Give your story a starting point. Build a short introduction with the goals and questions you want to bring to a representation conversation.
